Primarily a self taught metalsmith, I am always learning and striving in my basement studio to find new and better ways to make beautiful and meaningful jewelry. Making jewelry gives me strength and a sense of calm.
I make a living and provide for my family by working as a nurse in a busy urban hospital I credit this work for persistently pushing me to see the lives in different ways, always marveling at the ways in which people are resourceful and tenacious.
Exploring in other mediums helps me to find inspiration and new ways of thinking about what my pieces might be saying. This brings new mentors into my life who inevitably inform my work in metal.
